FIT offers affordable programing that certifies and trains educators in standards-aligned environmental education curricula.
By working together, we explore issues facing our state’s natural resources, and how to improve climate science and environmental literacy in the classroom.
Grow Your Teaching Practice Alongside Peers & Professionals
Work with peers and staff to develop a personalized Curriculum Project to use in the classroom.
Upon successful program completion you will:
Join a community dedicated to environmental and outdoor education
Earn a $$$ stipend upon implementation curriculum project during the academic year
Receive certification in Project Learning Tree (PLT) and Project WET
Receive 50 hours of professional learning
Become eligible for 3 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from UC Davis or Cal Poly Humboldt
