Frequently Asked Questions
What are my chances of being accepted?
We make every effort to accommodate all participants and strive to admit a balanced range of educators representing K-12 grade-levels and site-based teaching teams. Session size is capped at each location to ensure the best possible experience for all attendees. How will I know if I've been accepted? FIT Focus (Oct 27-29, 2023)
FIT (Summer 2024) Early Bird Registration (early November '23 thru end of January '24)
Can I return to FIT if I've already attended a full session? Returning participants are eligible to attend a new session, but must pay the full program fee or recruit four additional educators. Priority is given to returning participants who have also completed an approved Curriculum Project from their original session. Please contact FIT coordinator with any questions. Why is there a non-refundable application fee? The FIT registration fee helps to support maintenance of this webpage, the Eventbrite registration service, and staff support from the California Society of American Foresters. Are there additional costs? Tuition, room a board fees are waived for all first-time FIT participants courtesy of donations from the US Forest Service, Cal Fire, various foundations and individual contributors.
